1. Training of Trainer (TOT) on “Risky Business: Internet Addiction, Sex, Marijuana use and Exercise": This is the concluding Program of Mental Health Awareness Month (May) 2017. In the entire mental health awareness month, we have already conducted 2 events of Training of Trainer (TOT) on “Risky Business: Internet Addiction, Sex, Marijuana use and Exercise" in association with Psychdesk Foundation.Sessions were facilitated by Dr. Narendra Thagunna and Mr. Padam Joshi. All together there were 35 individual participated.
2. Workshop on Mental Health First Aid (MHFA): One day’s Workshop was conducted on ‘Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)’ on 3rd June, 2017. The training was facilitated by Dr.Narendra Singh Thagunna; Cross cultural Psychologists, Trainer and President of The School of Psychology Nepal (TSOP Nepal). The main objective of the workshop was to enhance the knowledge and techniques to provide Mental health first Aid to needy people of community about Mental ill health. Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders in your community. MHFA focused on following theme: “Anyone, anywhere can be the one to make a difference in the life of someone with a mental health or substance abuse challenge – if they know what to do and what to say.” The training was attended by a total number of 16 individual from different organizations staffs, social workers, Nurses and students.
3. Suicide prevention Facilitation Training: 3 events of 2 days “Suicide prevention Facilitation Training” the training session were conducted by Dr. Narendra Singh Thagunna, Cross cultural Psychologist, Mr. Rajan KC, Clinical Psychologist and Mr. Padam Joshi, Psychologist. The training was attended by a total number of 38 individual from different organizations staffs, social workers, Nurses and students.
4. Suicide Prevention Awareness program: In May 2017 we have conducted different 9 events of orientation on Suicide Prevention Awareness Programme in Jhapa and Kathmandu’s colleges and schools by our volunteers . All together 640 students of class 9 to college going students have participated.
